Privacy Policy

CoinHour is a desk dashboard operated by Wonho Kuk (국원호), Enso Soft, in South Korea. This policy describes the Android and iOS apps. Contact: kukwonho@gmail.com.

Information that stays on your device

Your salary, work and break schedule, payday, calculation preferences, custom conversion units, focus timer settings and selected theme are stored on your device. CoinHour does not send these personal values to our analytics server. Your operating system may include local app settings in device backups according to your backup settings.

Information sent to our service

No account or login is required. The app creates a random installation identifier and an authentication secret to communicate securely with our service. We receive the installation identifier, app and operating-system versions, platform, language, device region and time-zone offset. Android also sends the device model. The region comes from device settings, not GPS.

We receive app-open events and their timestamps for usage measurement and reliability. When you like or unlike a theme, we receive the theme identifier and your selection, associated with the installation identifier, so we can synchronize your likes and show aggregate counts. Technical event timing and delivery metadata help prevent duplicates and handle offline delivery.

Our server and network providers process IP addresses and ordinary request metadata to deliver requests and protect the service. We do not use the app to access your contacts, precise location or advertising identifier.

Purposes and sharing

We use this information to operate theme likes, measure app usage, maintain reliability and prevent abuse. We do not sell this information or use it for cross-app advertising tracking. Infrastructure providers may process information on our behalf. We may disclose information when legally required.

When you change currencies and request exchange rates, the app contacts ExchangeRate-API (open.er-api.com). The request includes the currency code and ordinary network metadata such as your IP address; it does not contain your salary. See ExchangeRate-API's privacy policy.

Retention and security

Raw usage events are scheduled for deletion after 30 days once aggregation is complete. Per-installation daily activity is retained for up to 13 months; inactive installation records are scheduled for deletion after 13 months without activity. Theme likes remain associated with an active installation until unliked or the installation record is deleted. Aggregate statistics that do not identify an installation may be retained longer. Requests use HTTPS, and access to service data is restricted.

Uninstalling the app does not immediately delete data already received by the server. On iOS, installation credentials stored in the system Keychain may survive reinstalling the app.

Your choices and requests

You can change your locally stored settings in the app and remove a theme like by tapping its like control again. For questions or requests to access, correct or delete service data, contact kukwonho@gmail.com. Because there is no login, we may need additional information to locate an installation and verify a request; please do not send your salary or installation secret. Rights available to you depend on your location.

Data sent to our service is processed in South Korea. If you contact us, we use your email address and message to answer and handle your request. The app is intended for working adults and is not directed at children. We update this page when our practices change.
